Homemade Autumn Harvest Apple Crisp

Ingredients
Filling:
5 golden delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped small
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
Topping
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into pieces
1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
Prep
Prep Time: 15 min., Bake Time: 35-40 min.
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all filling ingredients together in a large bowl. Spread the mixture evenly in 7-8 oz. ramekins or a 9x13 glass dish. For the topping, mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt with a handheld mixer. Add the butter into the mixture until it forms pea size lumps. Stir in pecans if you’re using them. Sprinkle topping over the filling. Bake 35-40 minutes until it starts to brown and the edges bubble. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
