Pasta with Fresh Basil Pesto and Peas

Ingredients
1 lb pkg pasta (fusilli, fettuccine or your preference)
2 cups fresh basil leaves
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons toasted pine nuts
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup frozen peas
Salt and pepper to taste

Prep Time: 10 min., Cook Time: 8-10 min.
Directions

Cook pasta according to box directions. Place pine nuts in a small pan over low-medium heat and toast until slightly brown, watching closely not to burn! Next, combine remaining ingredients in a food processor, except for peas, and blend until smooth. When pasta is cooked, drain it and mix together with pesto sauce and thawed peas. Top with more parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
